A way to turn the page for a new adventure

A way to turn the page for a new adventure

For those who have been following me for a while on social media or through the newsletter, you probably know that the beginning of 2024 was not easy. After more than 13 years in the same workshop, I had to move. A move that was not planned and that was not easy to digest. The already very difficult economic climate added a layer of stress and anxiety to this thunderbolt. This workshop was my very first. I met wonderful people there. I shared its space with friends and I think that was the best part, living this experience with people I love. This is where I saw my business born, grow and develop.

I also discovered a neighborhood. Hochelaga became my second home. The cafes, the small neighborhood shops, the "railway track" that passed just behind. It was my reassuring daily life.

I closed the door of my workshop for the last time at the end of June. But before that, I wanted to do one last project there. A way to kind of close the loop on these 13 years of creativity. I wanted to do a creative photoshoot, something that wasn't very related to the accessories collection but that allowed me to visit another universe. I spent the day with exceptional people who helped me set up this universe for a few hours.

First of all, I had a wonderful artistic director. Some of you know that I share my DNA with a remarkable sister, Sonia, and she complements me wonderfully. She is able to understand my ideas in a few seconds and find ways to materialize them in a concrete way. She knew how to put into images the somewhat fantastical universe that was in my head.

I also met some amazing people during this day. It was a real pleasure to meet Lucie, the natural beauty who agreed to play the game and become a mystical goddess for me. It was also the first time I worked with the artist Mély for hair and makeup. She immediately understood the aesthetic I was looking for and executed it beautifully.

We must not forget the person who immortalized this universe. I have worked with Simon as a photographer several times now and once again, he found the right angles and went for a very soft light that represents the warmth I wanted to give to these images.

After this day, I think my heart has calmed down a little. I am ready to continue the Rouge Cerise adventure in a new place, surrounded by great roommates. I am now in the Saint-Michel district and I hope to be able to organize an event there in the coming months to show you my new workshop!

In the meantime, I'm posting here some of my favorite photos from this photoshoot. Subscribe to Rouge Cerise on social media to see more!
